The Aftermath

This is what the tomato patch looked like after yesterday's Great Purge:

Well. THAT'S depressing.

And this is what I looked like after pulling up thirteen decaying plants and picking up dozens of rotten tomatoes:

Even Leda is disgusted.

It was a real good time.

Mere: Yes, it WOULD be a positive. If the tomatoes were going there next year. But they won't, because we rotate all the crops every year. I have not yet figured out how to store the supports without dismantling them entirely. But I'm working on it.

Finn: They're my manual labor khakis. I bought them at Goodwill specifically for summer labor--can't work in shorts, khakis are cooler than jeans.
