I'm not much of a non-chocolate-candy kind of person, but I do ocassionally like citrus-flavored candy. I was subbing yesterday in the classroom of the teacher who keeps a bucket of candy by her door, and I was struck with the desire to eat a small package of Skittles.
My children think the way I do this is weird. I eat the flavors separately, starting with the ones I like least and ending with my favorite. In the case of Skittles, that means that I eat all the purple ones first, then orange, then green, then yellow, and red is last.
There are never as many of the red as there are of the others, but this was a particularly disappointing bag.
Is that you? Or do you separate flavors, too?

I don't eat skittles, but I do separate jelly beans. So not weird at all! I dont really like "fruit" candy, so it's only in extreme situations that I grab any.
ReplyDelete( I'm a cookie person.)
I eat mine separately also, ending with the orange last always.
ReplyDeleteI always separate mine by color! I also do that for M&Ms. I also generally eat my least favorite first and work towards my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThis will blow your mind: they’re all the same flavor, but have different scents. Try putting chewing one with your nose plugged, and unplugging it halfway through. It’s crazy!
ReplyDeleteI separate everything - Skittles, m&ms, Mike and Ikes, jellybeans. Red Skittles are my favorite color, red m&Ms (I know, I know), lemon jellybeans. Any flavor Mike and Ikes except green. From this answer, you'd never guess that I rarely eat any of these. I'd rather have cookies or a plain chocolate bar.
ReplyDeleteWow. I do exactly the same thing. There is nothing sadder than opening one of those little bags of Skittles and seeing only 1 - or, in the worst cases, NO - red ones.
ReplyDeleteOh for sure I sort everything, from skittles to chex mix. If anything has nuts, the nuts have to go first, because they are a whole separate food group. (Regrettably it is difficult to sort nuts from brownies.) — Karen.
