I saw the saddest sight at C's school last week - a boy returning home with a teddy that C told me he had meant to give to a girl. So he either bottled it or got rejected - either way - so sad - bawww!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506305897742962637.post-80917325608804492832019-02-10T17:46:18.431-07:002019-02-10T17:46:18.431-07:00Interesting factoid: our local school district no ...Interesting factoid: our local school district no longer allows treats because of food allergies. I suspect the reason behind the reason is the large number of free/reduced lunch families and the social pressure to bring a treat.
It's the first year of that policy; it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.Daisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11647906900944224234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506305897742962637.post-22374777667630972472019-02-10T13:07:02.967-07:002019-02-10T13:07:02.967-07:00Such a cute idea, the rice krispie treats & va...Such a cute idea, the rice krispie treats & valentines.
This baking week kinda reminds me of your Christmas cookie frenzy.
My husband & I eat the same pizza as you and A., half vegetables, half meat.
Linda
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506305897742962637.post-92130753691172420272019-02-10T09:09:36.987-07:002019-02-10T09:09:36.987-07:00Ooh. Hopefully, no one will get sick. I think some larger school districts have adopted that policy mostly as a way to monitor the ingredients for children who might be severely allergic to certain things. Their last school in New York didn't have that rule, either, so I don't know what prompts some schools to do that and some not.

I like pizza with vegetables, particularly mushrooms and bell pepper. A. of course prefers meat of some sort, and the boys mostly go for just cheese. So I usually make one whole one of just cheese and one that's half vegetable and half meat.Kristin @ Going Countryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00221544641416039741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506305897742962637.post-48549235597095133492019-02-09T20:18:07.980-07:002019-02-09T20:18:07.980-07:00Wow, you are incredible. Strange question, but doesn't the school require that the goodies that are brought into the school be store bought? I know that where I live (Minneapolis,MN) the schools say that the treats have to be store bought and sealed in order for them to be brought in. Second question, do you have a preferred type of pizza or are you more of a cheese pizza person?
