I'm not going to continue to whine today about how HOT it is and OH MY GOD, I CAN'T STOP SWEATING. No, because I care about you and your feelings, today I give you roses.
(just came upon your blog from Evil Chef Mom--I love her!)
Gorgeous flowers and roses on your post--it's difficult to keep much of anything flowering (even more so for brown-thumbed me) in Austin.
Yes, tell me about the heat: We start with 95+ degree temps by early May and it doesn't often dip below 92 until Halloween!! Lucky us, we are also having bizarrely humid air. Must be the gulf stream wreaking havoc with the midwest and your area. ANYway, now that I've bored you to tears, hope your weather mellows out soon, and thanks for sharing.
I look forward to escaping my corporate and urban life for the country.
Hey Mindy. I think I would seriously have to commit hari-kari if I lived in a place with weather like Austin's. Or I suppose a less extreme option would be to refuse to leave the air conditioned indoors. Sadly, we have no air conditioning, so when it gets hot outside, it gets hot inside.
And you should see this rose bush now. I should have waited to take a picture. It's going totally nuts with the blossoms. No thanks to me though. The MiL is the real green thumb around here-- I can't take credit. Okay, yes I can. I'm glad you enjoyed MY rosebush. Don't I rock? :-)
Hi Kristin.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the roses, they are beautiful!
I hate this heat!!!!! I just posted about it in my blog and I linked your post about heat as well.
