I'm finding myself boring lately, so instead of reading more dull minutia of my life, please go to this link, sent to me by Meadowlark (a.k.a. Jarhead). Farming was a lot more fun in 1910.
Ah, the good ol' days. That pamphlet was priceless. As is, I might add, your blog. Love it! Spent some time yesterday and this morning and read it all. Yes, all. I'm not sure how I found it -- Evil Chef Mom, maybe? -- but I'm so glad I did.
Haven't looked at the pamphlet yet (I am at work...) but I must say farming also had better graphic design back in the day. Seriously, when was the last time you saw such stylization and considered layout at Tractor Supply Co.?
Ah, yes: Farming with Dynamite, brought to you by DuPont, fine purveyors of Things That Go Boom.
ReplyDeleteBest! Pamphlet! Ever!

ReplyDeleteI hope that A. has read this pamphlet. Between the chainsaw mill, cutting torch, and dynamite, nothing should stand in his way!
ReplyDeleteIt kind of makes sense. In a weird, dynamite kind of way.
ReplyDeleteCan I light the dynamite?
