Gotta say that is the most gorgeous laundry on the line picture I have seen in a long time. See, with dial up ,the pictures load from the top...slowly...I am just seeing laundry on the line and thinking...hmmmm Kristen has taken a picture of her laundry drying. Kinda like watching paint dry only more hypnotic. :)
Yes, they are lilies. The MiL said there was no identification on them when she bought them, and she's never been able to discover if they have a proper name. She DID say, however, that they form little bulbs along the stem that drop off and grow more, so anyone who wants some of those little bulbs can have some and will have these very lilies blooming in their own yard in a couple of years.
Sheets on the clothesline. There is absolutely nothing better. Nothing. I had forgotten this wonderful gift of childhood until our washer broke last week. The sheets and quilt were so sopping wet we hung them on the line (that we never use because we are modern city people). When we brought them in, the fresh smell and crisp texture brought back so many childhood memories. I was in heaven!
Beautiful! Looks like summer is in full swing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The sunshine is making me smile today. We're having grey, stormy weahter today.
ReplyDeleteLook at those puppies. I think they know how good they have it.

' flower power' for the cocktail name
Oh, I like Flower Power for the cocktail name. I'm just not inspired this time around.
ReplyDeleteAnd your photos are gorgeous - those lilies! Makes me nice and warm just looking at them (cuz it's a bit chilly here today).
Are those daylilies? The color is gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI don't know how you were able to take that photo while your dogs were lying there all cozy in the shade.
ReplyDeleteI would have felt compelled to run over to them and rub their bellies.
Which is probably why my dog looks upon me with suspicion.
