Rita the Puppy is missing. We are not happy.
That's all.
UPDATE: Rita has been found! We put up signs all over this morning, and someone called pretty much immediately to tell us she had been seen a couple of hours earlier at a house no more than a half mile from us. She was still at that house when the MiL went there to look. Rita was gone for just 24 hours, but that's quite long enough. She apparently lacks the skill that allows our other dogs to wander far afield and always find their way home. Dumb dog. But, a dumb dog who is HOME, so we forgive her. For now.
How sad... hope you find her soon.
ReplyDeleteOh no :o( I do hope she comes back soon.
ReplyDeleteAww, that sucks. She'll be fine ... positive visualization, okay?
ReplyDeleteOh, dear! Was she in her pen overnight? Mary in MN
ReplyDeleteMaybe the other dogs can help you 'track' her? I hope she comes home soon. Maybe she got on a bunny trail and got lost.
ReplyDeleteYay! Finding puppy is a very good thing. Every time one of my pets has gone missing it hasn't ended well. I'm glad that wasn't the case here.
ReplyDeleteWhew.....a missing pet is the WORST! I'm glad she was located!
ReplyDelete;o)

Maybe she knew exactly what she was doing. She was getting her revenge for the Elizabethan collar. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteMy mom's did that once. Perhaps she'll learn her lesson, or perhaps she has the internal GPS system that Mr Chiots has. He can't find his way home either if he deviates from the normal path.
ReplyDeleteGaaaaah, that scared me! Glad she's home.
ReplyDeleteBAD RITA
ReplyDeleteglad she's home safely
Ohgod! I'm so glad I didn't see this until she was home. Missing puppy is my nightmare (been there, done that). Recently my boy Duffy _jumped out the window of my car_ while driving (without me realizing). For days I searched, put up signs, etc, and cried and cried and cried and imagined the worst. Found him almost 3 days later, he had been at a B&B sleeping in bed with an old guy who loved him. I was a mess, but he was on vacation. :) So happy for you guys and Rita the Naughty.
ReplyDeleteOH NO!
ReplyDeleteWhew.
Since I only read the entry in its update form, that was the (very quick) gamut of emotions I just experienced.
So glad I didn't read this until you'd found her! I would have been worried sick!
ReplyDeleteHappy she's home. For now...;)
