The cake is no more. It lasted exactly five days and was consumed by both A. and me. But mostly me. Let us take a moment of silence in remembrance of a truly extraordinary cake.
Amen.
Oh, and happy new year. Now get out of here and go cook you some black-eyed peas. And pork and greens while you're at it. Health, wealth, and happiness can be yours. All you have to do is eat.
Amen. Better late than never. I am spoiled..check you first thing...you're always there. Have a good new year ....no more dust bunnies, mouse parts, hen house raiders, ground hogs to chuck, beater vehicles, cold house....oh, what am I saying....it wouldn't be blackrock then , would it?

No black-eyed peas here this year but there are anasazi beans in the oven with a chunk of a big Virginia ham. Happy New Year and all the best in 2010!
ReplyDeleteI made a cake for our New Year's celebration: Chocolate Stout cake with dark chocolate ganache and chocolate espresso frosting. Also super rich, but it was gone in 3 days (we did take it to 2 gatherings though).
