Anyone remember what Cubby looked like as a newborn? Yeah, me neither. Let's find a photo . . .
Cuddled up with Daddy. That cannot possibly be the same child. That itsy bitsy little bundled up yellow Cubby bears very little resemblance to THIS bruiser . . .
Who needs Daddy NOW, suckahs? Just prop me up and go about your business.Cubby is six months old today. The way babies grow and the speed at which they develop is nothing short of miraculous. Fun to watch, too. The next six months should be even MORE fun.
Happy Half Birthday, Cubby. And many more.
Wow, he's grown so fast! It is really cool to see his features taking shape. Another six months and he'll be running around taking no prisoners!
ReplyDeleteIt's been six months ALREADY?! Sheesh. Where are the brakes on this thing?
ReplyDeleteCongrats Cubby & Cubby Mommy & Daddy!
Congrats, Mom and Dad! You've done a great job with this little guy.
ReplyDeleteKate got her first tooth on her first half-birthday. We were on a plane when I noticed it and I cried big tears. This morning she left for her first day of culinary school. I'm not crying, but I'm damn sentimental about the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every one of these moments!
I had to install a new browser, and it screwed up the visual verification on your comments, but SO HELP ME I was determined to figure it out this morning so I could finally comment on your blog again, and after a solid hour, here we are. SUCCESS! I am sure you missed me.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, happy 6 months, Cubby! He is so big and SO cute. I cannot believe he is already half a year old. I think you're going to have an early walker with that one...
It does indeed go by fast.
ReplyDeleteHappy six months Cubby!
He is so, so cute! I love watching babies grow. He looks like such a happy little guy!
ReplyDeleteWow. Cubby is so adorable. He looks so big for six months! (But what do I know; my experience with babies is pretty limited.)
ReplyDeleteRandom question: How big is Cubby's head? I recently took a measurement of my cousin's baby's head to knit a hat for her, and it was 17 inches (she's 10 months old). My head is only 22 inches. Are baby heads really that giant or do I just have a small head? The hat I made almost fit me.
Oh, yes! The next six months you should get even more exercise as he becomes mobile - and he strikes me as the type who will investigate EVERYTHING! But he's a real doll. Not a good remark for a manly chubbie, but that's the way I see him!!
ReplyDeleteJ.T.: I DID miss you. And I'm honored that you spent so much time cussing at your new browser just so you could comment today.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I'm assuming you were cussing. That seems a safe bet.
Haley: Cubby's head was 17 inches last time it was measured, but that was over a month ago and I'm sure it's grown since then. Babies do have very large heads in proportion to the rest of their bodies.
Holy moly! That means I've been reading your blog for almost a year!!
ReplyDeleteAnd loved every minute of it!
