I blacked the woodstove last week. Finally. Cubby is in his Blackrock suit. And if you'll excuse me now, I have to go get a few wheelbarrow-loads of wood, because we're going to fire up the woodstove today.
It's cold and gray and rainy here today, and I love it. I do not, however, enjoy having to peel the cat off my head in the mornings, which is where she velcros herself when the weather turns cold.
We had frost in the bottoms last night , so if you haven't yet, it is coming your way. We haven't fired up the woodstove yet....but we don't live in a stone house like Blackrock. It shan't be long though. Beth

ReplyDeleteOh boy. There's nothing quite like the first fire of the season! We haven't had ours yet but it is coming soon.

Isn't it wonderful?! I actually slept for 6 straight hours last night. It was 48 outside and about 60 inside. I love the cold.
