I have
mentioned this in passing before, but let me just state right now that few things make me feel more exhausted and ready to just give it all up than getting to the end of a long, tiring day and being TOTALLY READY to throw myself in bed and have it all be over with already . . . and then there are no sheets on the bed because I washed them.
Next time I'm just going to crawl into a sleeping bag and give up any pretense of civilized living.
There have definitely been a few nights where we slept on the mattress pad with a blanket and said forget the sheets! =) That is the peak of tired right there!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I've been there a few times too many myself! : )

Yup!!
ReplyDeleteI've been there also.
ReplyDeleteLuckily the line dryed sheet smell is so good. B.
At one point in my decadent past, I rented a furnished two-bedroom house; one bedroom had twin beds. That meant that, each week for 3 weeks, I could move from one bed to the next--and ignore the un-sheeted mattresses.
ReplyDeleteUntil, of course, all the mattresses were bare of sheets...
I have been there myself, Sister!
ReplyDeleteOnly thing better than that is when the dog, (or small child) climbs in bed to wake you, cause their feeling sick, and pukes in the bed.
Never have two people moved faster in life.
Then I really am curling up in a sleeping bag. (grin)
I too have slept on the mattress pad with just a comforter on top. The pillows were also lacking cases.
