For bravery in the field of combat--otherwise known as taking small children on walks every day, no matter the weather, and despite the fact that I almost always have to carry the toddler home again--I receive the highest honor that can be bestowed upon me by my children:
Weedy flowers to stick behind my ear.
And in my coat buttonholes.
Buttonhole bouquets are way better than medals.
Ah, these are the memories we hold on to when comments are made like, "Daddy is the best" or "I hate everything you do, or don't do", depending on the situation. Oh, love the selfie.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the way your boys have dedicated a good share of their walks to picking flowers for Mommy. They will go far in life!
ReplyDeleteMere: Yeah, me too. I call it "Real Housewives of the Far North", windswept hair and all.
ReplyDeleteYou are loved ! Boys seem to have a different way of telling you that than we girls do.
