Connections

I must admit that I do not give a rat's ass about football (or any other sport, for that matter), but I will watch at least some of today's Super Bowl game. Because you all know where my mom is from. This means I have a family obligation to put on my Mardi Gras beads and cheer for the much-beleaguered Saints.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday. Now go have some chips and dip, or other gut-busting food of your choice. After all, that's what today is REALLY about.

  1. The sacrifices we make for family. Now I know the saints will win! Look at the bright side. You get to see all those much talked about commercials. Go Saints Go!

  3. so true, I don't even really know who's playing this year. But I have a great evening of fun food planned. I'm making pretzle dogs (hotdogs wrappes in soft pretzle dough and baked - MMM). And of course chips, cheese, nuts, and I'm thinking of making a chocolate guinness cake.

    enjoy the game!

  4. Since I hail from Indiana...I must go Colts. But, I am not a big football fan. Used to watch it with dad and brothers when I was young ,know all the terms and played football with all the neighborhood guys, yep, a good ol' tomboy here.

  5. I am usually forced to watch and be totally bored, but this year I denied all the party invites, sent the husband to watch it somewhere else, and am sitting on my couch, watching old movies with chocolate and wine.

    Fun times WIN.
