My parents are leaving this afternoon for their long journey back to Tucson, which means that I must now say goodbye to pretty much the best mother's helper EVER.
Seriously. If you ever have a kid, you should try to get my mom to come to your house for a few days. She just scoops that child up, and they're off to the races. I've barely seen Cubby for the past few days.
Unfortunately for you, I think this service is only available to her actual children. Too bad. It's pretty awesome. I don't know how I'm going to go back to my previous juggling act of Cubby wrangler, cook, and canner.
Cubby's going to miss his Nana too, I know. I mean, wouldn't you?
Lucky both of you.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness that child is growing like a weed. :) Beth
Yes! The first thing I noticed in the pictures was, "Is that really Cubby?" He is growing so fast.
ReplyDeleteThis was so sweet. Our mothers are so precious. My mom died of breast cancer before my children were able to graduate from highschool, but she was so involved in our lives...our moms are connected to us in ways that no others will be. Your mom seems to be so awesome!
ReplyDeleteShe did the same thing with our daughter too! Off to make a mud bridge in the creek, or off to play guitar, or off to hula hoop.... Our mom is amazing. Dad too, but for different reasons. I think we scored, sis! - Moi
ReplyDeleteEnjoying a grandparent is a wonderful treat.
ReplyDeleteHi, mom and dad! Bye, mom and dad!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I am always amazed at how productive I am when my parents are visiting!
