Jesus Christ, could I have made yesterday's post any damn longer? Did I really think anyone was going to want to read that much detail about cleaning out our cisterns? Apparently so.
So today, I'll lay off the words. Instead, I give you James. He takes a good picture, doesn't he? I can almost hear him saying, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."
I don't hate him because he's beautiful--I hate him because he tries to eat raw chicken defrosting on the top of the refrigerator. But we won't go into that now. It would require too many words.

He's glowing. Just thought you should know. Hope he's not on fire or something. Maybe he's also rising from the ashes, like you. It's the bitters.
Sasapmcc is right, King James looks like he's glowing!
Oh don't hate him for trying to eat the raw chicken on the counter. He was just hungry.
June ate a piece of raw steak one time(they don't normally take food from the counter or dinner table). Hubby was outside trying to get a fire started for the charcoal grill(we have a propane one too) and he left the steak unattended on the table outside. So I guess June thought if it's outside it's fair game. By the time he got the fire going, he turned and realized that the steak was gone. Oops...so we ordered pizza for dinner that night.
Awwww, James. Is he friendly, or does he regularly threaten to disembowel houseguests with his back claws, as does my precious little snookums?
Oh, James is friendly all right. Unless you're a chipmunk or a vole, and then you'd better run.
And YD? Despite being fed obscene amounts of food, James is ALWAYS hungry, so he's ALWAYS patrolling all kitchen surfaces for food when no one's watching. I find that kind of gross. I don't really hate him--I just hate some of his bad habits.
my kitty left a half dead rat in my courtyard this morning... she's fourteen years old with no front claws!
Ah, he *is* majestic!
Yes, they're so sweet until they're yowling for attention at 3 am, or leaving just... the... tail... of the rat behind the garbage can. Yum!
Mine gave my husband a funny father's day card, though, so I guess that makes up for it. Yes, I am a dork, but it sure gave me a laugh!
James looks like Luke Skywalker, the cat I had growing up. Who left us to live with another family.
I miss Luke. I love James, the chicken stealer.
