So cute, love his little sweater! Must get Mr Chiots out splitting wood so when we get the wood burner installed we'll have a good supply! Hopefully this helps keep your pillow from freezing to the wall this winter!
We could have used him a couple weeks ago when we had our wood delivered...and having done that as a kid, I'll never have (own) a house with a wood fireplace. I’ll replace it with a wood/corn pellets one in a country second! But that is just me…
That is so cute....such a helper....with his faithful companion(watch dog) by his side, over top of him or underneath him. Lucky Cubby....such love all around him. Beth Corn/pellet stoves?? How affordable is the fuel compared to wood? BTU wise?
Beth, I used a pellet stove up in VT to heat the house and it ran about $200 a ton which came in 50 40lbs recyclable bags. I found that 3-3.5 tons would last the year. It is advertised at 1.5 cords to a ton...the mess is less, the space needed is less, and you can store them inside. A ton comes on a pallet and about 3.5-4 ft tall. My stove was a Harmon P61 which was wood pellet only. They have newer ones that are either wood or corn.
The fun never ends, at least for Thomas. I wonder how long the activity kept Cubby's attention. Probably as long as it took to take the snap shots. He's beginning what will be a lifetime of chores.
He could not be more adorable. Geez I miss the days when I could dress my boy in adorable outfits. Last week, I went to a department store and begged for anything, adorable or not, that would fit his 6'6" 180-pound frame. Slim pickin's is all I can say. Enjoy the adorable while it lasts.

And, Leda, the protector.

Wow does that ever bring back memories. Spent every fall of my childhood doing that! Love his sweater.

Cubby is a "chip off the old block" so to speak!

Oh, my god, those pictures just wreck me.
There is something enormously cute that happens when small people do big people tasks.
retemba - how a 3 year old with a speach impediment says "september".
What a great little assistant! Some day he might even stack the wood neatly. :)
