When the Stars Align

If Jack goes to sleep at 6:45 p.m. . .

And Cubby and Charlie go to sleep at 7:30 p.m. . .

And the MiL is at a concert . . .

And A. is at a bonfire with his high school buddies . . .

Then I get one night with just me, a bar of extra-dark chocolate, and Can't Buy Me Love on Netflix.

And that, my friends, is my idea of perfection.

Even better would be to hear that you'd gone to bed and not been awakened until 6:30 a.m. by anyone, but that's not even in the realm of possibility at this stage of your life. So, alone time rocks.

Ooo. Starting a movie at 8pm though. Did you make it all the way through?
Sounds awesome. Add in a glass of wine and I'd be right with you!

Mere: Ha. This little indulgence was followed by the worst night in a week of bad nights.

Moi: I started it immediately upon locking the older children in their chamber, so it was over by 9. Hooray!
