A Tender Moment

Poppy and I were having her required wake-up cuddle early (very early) one morning, when she spontaneously gave me a very sweet kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you," I said. "I like kisses."

A pause, then Poppy remarked, "I like candy."

Another pause. "Especially lollipops."

Duly noted, Poppy Oakley.

I think she was hoping I would provide the lollipop since she had provided the kiss. :-)

I feel that there's going to be no stopping Poppy. Seeing her grow up will be very interesting indeed. Four children, four routes, lots of good dinners. As A will tell you, good dinners are the secret of a happy family. Or at least of happy children.
