Good Times

Nothing starts the week off right like cleaning out the woodstove and inhaling enough ashes that the tissue is gray when I blow my nose.

Cough.

Happy Monday! How's your week starting out?

Sweetly with chocolate covered cherries and gingerbread cookies taking over the kitchen. I'd better start eating so I can clear off some counter space.

Snow, snow, and more snow in Minnesota. And, today's the day I set aside to do Christmas shopping. Sigh.

Heh, my word verification is anteries--possibly narrowed arteries among insects.

Singing Christmas carols while decorating the tree and listening to the kids bicker...guess 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

At work on a crazy Monday - one of the days where I'm getting every name wrong, forgetting what I was saying in the middle of a sentance and dropping almost everything I pick up. Sigh. I really need to got back to bed and just try again tomorrow, but that's not much of an option. Bummer.

This may or may not work with your woodstove, but opening the damper and getting some air motion into the chimney keeps the ash dust down with our stove cleaning. On the other hand, Blackrock may be so cold that the chimney won't draw without a fire in the stove.

No grey boogers here, thankfully. Today we have our one day of sun before the next storm rolls through. Work today is a bore but I'm glad to have it.

Cheers ~ Conny
