These Magic Moments

This evening I gave the boys their usual reminder to go to the bathroom and wash their hands while I was dishing up dinner. And then I hear from the bathroom, "Mommy? You should come see this."

That never means anything good coming from a bathroom.

Sure enough, the recent tummy troubles are still affecting one of my children, and the resulting mess was quite spectacular. His clothes, the floor, inside and outside of the toilet, side of the bathtub . . .

Perhaps the child in question said it best, "It was like a poop gun!"

Yeah. And it was the messiest shot in the east.

Needless to say, dinner was a bit delayed. I can't say I worked up much of an appetite cleaning the bathroom while the soiled boy had a bath.

I just kept reminding myself, "These are the best years of my life." If not the best ten minutes.

Didn't read this post yet , just wanted to mention I heard a program on NPR this morning mentioning that folks are using probiotics for babies to clear their skin conditions and digestive issues. Hope that helps if nothing else does.

Gosh. Seems the stomach issues just keep multiplying, not to mention your difficulties with Poppy. Just seems there should be something to help with both problems, at least to help alleviate some of the symptoms. However, I know you're working it as best you can. The best days of your life are measured a bit differently with small kids; they come and go with regularity.

Hahahah! These are the best years of my life - love it! We've all been there! I once left Caspar in the bath as a toddler, he pooped and when I came back he's scooped it very nicely into a wine glass he left by the side of the bath. I didn't even notice initially - it was such a lovely surprise - I was also probably thinking ' how thoughtful - these are the best years of my life' too. J xx
