What this week of finishing up school and packing up a house for a cross-country move needed was a few kids with a cold. Plus a kid with poison ivy all over his legs. You know, for maximum sleep deprivation and general misery.
Oh well. Could be worse. They could all be throwing up. (Knocking on alllll the wood now. Good thing we live in the middle of the woods.)

That a girl ....look at the bright side. :)
OOh you have fun times ahead! This is a random comment but I've only ever heard of poison ivy in America, never here, or Europe. You must have some funny evil species of Ivy over there!
Can only guess which boy has the poison ivy since we all know Poppy couldn't have been rolling in it. The fun just keeps getting funner doesn't it. Can't understand how your kids continue to pick up on every cold germ that pops up at their school. Guess a healthy lifestye just doesn't cut it with colds.
I tried a tip for relieving poison oak itching that worked great (counter-intuitive as it sounds): blow on it with a hair dryer for a few minutes. It completely stopped the itching for 30 minutes or so--long enough to go to sleep. Good luck with EVERYTHING!
Best remedy I've ever found for poison ivy: Ivy Dry (recommended to my mother by a doctor back in my young youth when I sat in it one spring....). The Ivy Dry dries the rash pretty quickly (a few days as opposed to weeks of waiting for it to heal) and reduces that incessant itching. It was much better than the home remedies my mother tried.
