Actually, I wouldn't mind a little rain right now. It's sloppy no doubt, but nobody has to shovel snow. And I'm not getting out of the garage anytime soon unless somebody shovels. And I'm busy painting starting RIGHT NOW.
Try wind. Three solid days of it. We had enough snow on Monday for the girls to make a little snowman in the front yard. Wednesday night the hat blew away. Last night the last of Frosty melted and the scarf and gloves blew away. All we've got left is a broken carrot.
Word verification: reeba -- TV show about a country singer with red hair, thin lips, and poor spelling skills.
I would welcome the rain washing the snow away, except that it would all come directly into my basement. So I guess I'll save that joy and fun for springtime. (Suddenly not so excited about spring.)
I'll top all of that! After two days of steady snow in MN, we got rain last night, warm enough to melt the top layer of snow, and then it all froze. The whole world is ice, including the roads.
I'm back because I thought you might get a kick out of knowing I FINALLY UNDERSTAND YOUR WINTER PLIGHT. We tried to paint this morning in the carriage house. The walls are cement. It's cold and wet outside, meaning the outside walls in the room we were trying to paint were wet. Imagine that! I finally understand the whole "wet wall" thing at Blackrock.
As you can imagine and I now know, the paint was a runny mess on wet walls. Duh. We finally cranked up the heat and left. We're going back after lunch to paint a room with all interior walls that is dry.
This is the part where I shout how much I hate DIY home improvement jobs. And then I curse. And then I pout.
That, and I really, really sympathize with your weeping walls.
Wowee you guys, that Christmas spirit didn't last long , did it? I guess it is the post Christmas let down...no matter what ...it wasn't as good as we expected. :)

I still can't get used to the concept of rain in the winter. Every time it happens, I think it's spring.

Worse: A winter at 50-35 degrees and never any snow.
But ya know, it'll clear up by Valentine's Day. I love Texas.
