Sun!

Yes! Sun! And (relative) warmth! What does that mean in February? At least this year, it means there should be sap running into the buckets out there on the maple trees. Finally. Maybe sometime, we'll actually have enough collected to reduce it to syrup.

I'll keep you posted.

I am jealous! I adore maple syrup. You should totally recreate the maple candy on top of snow scene from Little House in the Big Woods. Whenever I find someone who has read that book, it is always their favorite scene.

How cool! If you do I'd love to hear all about it.

Awesome! Let me know if you need someone to take some of that maple syrup off your hands. :)

Around here it would take 5 gallons sap to make a pint of syrup and if you do it inside be prepared to rewallpaper.
We have made about 15 gallons of syrup this year...but I think we may be done...the weather here is not cooperating now. But, since the weather forecasters have been SO wrong....we may not be done. Beth
