Ah, Childhood

Remember when everything was new and interesting and rocks were completely fascinating?

Yeah, me neither. But it sure is fun watching someone else who feels that way.

He is just thinking about how daddy threw them in the water and where is the water when you need it and how did he do it and are they good to eat if I am hungry outside. His mind's a whir.

You know, I DO remember when rocks were fascinating. We had a loooong gravel driveway and I used to save handfuls of the glittery quartz pieces. What an innocent, happy time. What a sweet little baby.

Look at all that hair! Yes, I know he's a year old, but my daughter had about four thin strands when she was TWO AND A HALF.

Of course, now she's l8 and has the thickest, most lovely head of hear you can imagine, but the lack of follicles back then was TRAUMATIC, I tell you!

PS Cubby is beautiful.

Looks like he'll be getting extra fiber on his leaf-a-day plan. I'm sure Cubby's just super glad to be outside exploring whatever. That probably works for mom as well. Great pictures; thanks!

I still love rocks! Well, I teach science. That has something to do with it, I'm sure.

Too cute, looks like he's enjoying the weather. He's almost old to enough to put to work hilling potatoes, perhaps he'll find that equally as fascinating!
